A drop-dead gorgeous course with cenotes
Drop-dead gorgeous course with cenotes! I lost all my balls by the 12th hole! The obstacles are incredibly exciting. I suggest you have a minimum of 24 balls if you are an amateur like me.
Unbelievable course.
I’ve played about 60 different courses across Canada, including PGA rated courses. Played in the Dominican Republic, and other high-end courses in Michigan. This course is by far the nicest. The scenery is beautiful. The price is insanely high, but this is a once in a lifetime course. Bring your camera, might see a crocodile. Coldwater is always on hand, they also provide cold wet towels (which do help). On the back 9 they have a Cenote right in the middle of the fairway. You don’t see some of this stuff anywhere else!!!
3. Gran Coyote Golf
18 holes, par 71, 7043 yards.
About Gran Coyote Golf Club
Formerly the Grand Coral Riviera Maya this beautiful golf course weaves around Mayan jungle with scenic views of the blue Caribbean Sea.
Nick Price, who hired a team of biologists and environmental consultants to create an extraordinary biodiverse course and protecting the native wildlife designed this course.
It’s sure to be a challenging course for most, testing your accuracy. Be prepared to lose a few golf balls along the way. There are water hazards on several holes and well-placed bunkers near the greens.

The greens are fantastic!
Gran Coyote is a beautifully conditioned and maintained 18 holes, championship golf course. It plays long, so with 5 sets of tees choose wisely. The greens are fantastic and the best in the Riviera Maya (in my opinion). Also, staff great staff and service to ensure you enjoy your round. Highly recommended!
Fairways and greens were in perfect condition.
Fantastic course with incredibly friendly people. I would recommend this place 100 times over. Fairways and greens were in perfect condition and the rate was very reasonable for a great round of golf.

This great course is hidden away
Not busy, so tee times are flexible during summer. Small bar and restaurant featuring tasty food and a full bar. Small Hard Rock specific golf gear. Price higher than back home, but you’re on vacation and excellent customer service makes it worth it.

The staff that checked us in were so helpful and friendly and the pro shop was great! We had a few really nice conversations. I would definitely recommend it! Thank you for the awesome time!

Fun and Challenging
I recently played the 18 hole par 3 course from the back tees. The holes range from 120 yards to 276 yards. Most have water hazards and are good and challenging. The course plays short from the up tees. Bring an extra sleeve of balls. It’s a good test trying to figure out yardage with the stiff breeze off the coast.
Continues to be a challenge
Course construction makes each hole a challenge to play. Wind conditions, layout of the greens, and pin position continue to make this an enjoyable and entertaining golf course to play.
